The Biennial Lecture Series is an international technology public lecture attracting the best minds from Nigeria to discuss solutions for advancement.

Since 2006, The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Alumni Association, has been organizing this public lecture with the theme: “Nigeria’s Quest for Development – The Technological Fast-tracking”. This year’s lecture is the 6th in series. This edition will create an international platform that would allow experts to share and discuss best practices, ideas and emerging technologies that can transform Nigeria & Africa. The lecture will be delivered by multiple patent holder in electronics, Prof. Ndubuisi Ekekwe. The keynote will be delivered by Dr. Kingsley Fregene, a principal researcher at Lockheed Martin and multiple patent holder in artificial intelligence, robotics and unmanned systems. Both speakers are graduates of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

Other lecture participants are Dr. Sam Amadi, former chairman of Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Engr. John Ugbe MD, Multichoice Nigeria, Engr. Kashim Ali, former president COREN, Lynda Madu Director, Corporate Development, Nestoil.


The Biennial Lecture is scheduled for Thursday, the 24th of October, 2019 at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos by 11am.
